Activity Search is now live for every Open Opportunities user.
You describe what your business does, in plain language, and Activity Search finds tenders that match the activity, not just the words. Search for "training" and it knows you may also mean "skills". Search for "penetration testing" and it finds the notice that only says "security assessment".
We tested it on 2 September 2026 against the built-in search on five national portals: TED, SAM.gov, bund.de, Doffin and Find a Tender. We ran 100 real business needs through both sides, on identical sets of open notices, with an independent judge grading every result.
Portal keyword search found 29% of relevant open tenders. Activity Search found 95%. Put the other way, the portals missed 71% of relevant opportunities and we missed under 5%. Relevant tenders also sat higher in our results: average precision of 62.5% against 11.5% for the portals. Find a Tender has the best keyword search we tested and we still found half again as many relevant tenders there.
The search works in any language. The 100 test descriptions were written in English. They found 96% of relevant German-language notices on bund.de and 99.8% of relevant Norwegian notices on Doffin. Describe your business once, in your own language, and Activity Search finds the matching tender whether it was written in Italian, Spanish, Polish or Finnish.
You can also paste a single URL, your own website or a product page, and search from that.
Every number above, the fairness rules and the per-portal results are on the Activity Search page.
