Service and Maintenance of Sorin Cell Salvage Machines

NWSSP Procurement Services hosted by Velindre Trust is seeking to establish a service and maintenance contract for 30 Sorin Cell Salvage Machines on behalf of the Cardiff and Vale University Health Board. The 30 Cell Salvage machines and associated modules are utilised as part of a Blood Management Strategy, a multidisciplinary approach to optimize the use of blood products. The overal aims being to reduce the need for homologous blood, improve patient outcome and control costs. In particular these machines are used for auto transfusion, involving the collection, processing, and reinfusion of the patient’s own blood that is lost during the peri-operative period at the surgical site.
