Stoke-on-Trent City Council is inviting tenders from suitably qualified and experienced contractors to undertake minor construction and landscaping schemes on a call-off basis throughout the City.
Works may include construction or improvement works, on or off highway, soft and hard landscaping and bridge maintenance schemes generally ranging from about £5,000 to £800,000 in value. Exclusivity of work suitable for this arrangement is not offered. Based on historical data and projections, the Council anticipate the successful Contractor may be offered 30 to 40 schemes with a total value of up to £2,500,000 per annum. The Council may issue additional orders within this contract for high quality public realm works, and traffic management schemes, ranging in values up to £2m per annum. However, the Council offers no guarantee that any work will be instructed or that any work instructed will be continuous or evenly distributed throughout the contract.
It is the intention of the Council to award this contract to a single contractor.
It is anticipated that the award of the contract will be notified on or around 7th March 2011, with Work starting from 18th April 2011 which allows for the Alcatel period and mobilisation.
