The Contract is for the provision of 56 social housing units comprised of 8no. 2p/1b apartments and 25no. 3p/2b apartments and 16 no. 3p2b houses and 6 no. 5p3b houses and 1 no. 6p4b house. The work includes the requirement for site development and engineering works. The contract will be for approximately 22 months from date of award and is scheduled to start by the end of March 2017. It is expected that ALL units built under this contract will achieve ‘Secured By Design’ and Lifetime Homes accreditation.
The scope of the Carnmoney Road project is the delivery of 56 social housing units; the scale of the Carnmoney Road project is approx. £4.8m and the complexity of the Carnmoney Road project includes the construction of two apartment blocks comprising 25 residential units and semi detached houses comprising 22 residential units one detached house and 8 own door apartments. The project includes provision of engineering services and external and site development works which achieve Secured by Design and Lifetime Homes standards. We await a further site investigation report to determine ground conditions. An asbestos survey has indicated possible asbestos in the vacant building on the site.
