Strategic Review of learning and development NHSBT is committed to developing its staff with many several strands to the provision of Learning, Education and Development (LED) to a varied group of staff including among others, Doctors, Nurses, Health Care Support Workers (unregistered trained staff who work on blood donation sessions), Clinical Scientists, Biomedical Scientists, Laboratory Assistants, Ancillary and Administrative staff, and Drivers. We now wish to understand in more detail the existing Learning, Education and Development (LED) practices and ensure a corporate approach to LED which is aligned to the Business and People Plans. To achieve this objective we wish to recruit an organisation • To conduct a strategic independent review of LED provision to support the development of a more holistic approach to LED within NHSBT. • To develop an integrated learning, education and development strategy that encompasses all current LED activities. You will have worked in the NHS or wider Public Sector on a similar project or will have relevant experience with an organisation of a equivalent size and nature to NHSBT. You will be affiliated to an educational or research establishment and will have had experience of managing projects across the whole of the UK. You will provide a dedicated contract management team and named consultants who will conduct the review. You will commit to completing this project based on a start date of 1st August 2010 with completion by the 30th November 2010.
