Specification for Re-piping South blocks DHW from Block 35 Z Level DHW Calorifiers
The Royal United Hospital, Bath is a 650 bed district general hospital serving a population of 500,000. It is based on a 53 acre site in the Combe Park area of Bath. The Estate is made up of 64 separate blocks that range in age from the 1700?s up to the present date.
The Trust requires that South Blocks DHW supply is re-piped from the Block 35 Z Level Calorifiers. All work is to meet the requirements of HTM 04-01.
Scope of Work
? We require a new DHW distribution system to serve the needs of the South Blocks. This is to be piped in as per the requirements of HTM 04-01.
? The Flow pipe will be of 100mm diameter and the return will be 76mm diameter all pipework is to be copper.
? All pipe must comply to BS EN 1057:2006
? All pipework must be fully lagged to BS 6700 standards.
? All pipework must be supported to meet BS 6700 Standards.
? The Trust requires all obsolete pipe-work and any associated services to be removed from the building as part of this tender.
? All works MUST fully meet the requirements of the Approved Code of Practice, Legionnaires? disease: the control of legionella bacteria in water systems (L8).
? We will require a documented specific risk assessment and method statement prior to works commencing.
? The Trust will require all plumbers are registered under the Water Industry Approved Plumbers Scheme.
? We require that the tendering company have fully documented statutory training records of ALL staff that are to be employed on the Trust site.
? The Trust requires that all works are completed by the 17/03/2010.
