Project 11653 / PSNI Provision of National Offender Re-Training Schemes and Local Driver Education Courses in Northern Ireland
The PSNI invites Tenders for the delivery of Driver Educational Course Programmes across Northern Ireland. Only Service Providers who are identified as capable and committed to deliver the Educational Courses, presently: National Driver Alertness, National Speed Awareness, RIDE, Driving 4 CHANGE, What’s Driving Us, and Young Driver Scheme according to the National and any existing local arrangements will be considered.
- In addition to the current suite of courses, further new courses will be developed. It is the intention of this tender to secure a Service Provider that can accommodate any future national or local courses that become available during the life of the contract. However, should the Service Provider prove not capable to deliver new proposed courses then this contract will only pertain to the courses identified.
- It is possible that during the life of this contract the Association of Chief Police Officers (ACPO) who own the intellectual and property rights to the National courses, policies and procedures may introduce a licensing scheme for the purposes of course provision. The successful contractor will be expected to apply for and hold any such licence or permission in order to deliver their obligations under this contract
- All aspects of course and driver administration must be managed by the Service Provider on behalf of the PSNI.
