Description:
The Exceptional Circumstances Body (ECB) was established in 2010 under Article 16A of the Education (Northern Ireland) Order 1997 and the School Admissions (Exceptional Circumstances) Regulations (Northern Ireland) 2010 to consider cases where parents feel that, for exceptional reasons, there is only one post primary school that their child must attend and their application to that post primary school using the normal route has not been successful.
