Description:
Description:
The BBC's Future Media division requires a strategic NoSQL database technology for storing and retrieving the BBC’s online content.

The NoSQL database technology will provide the persistence layer for many of the plaform data services that are used by all the BBC’s websites and Apps.
These platform data services are typically HTTP REST APIs, backed by enterprise databases. These databases must offer high performance, high volume and high availability for a mix of use cases, complexity and traffic patterns.

The Data services and their databases as developed and operated by discrete product engineering teams, and the database technology must fit with the modern engineering & operational practices of these product engineering
teams.
