NITB wish to appoint a service provider to undertake an audit and quality assessment of key tourism related events implemented across Northern Ireland. This product audit should capture both quantifiable measures and quality assessment and provide a picture of the volume, distribution and quality of events by region.
It is proposed that the assessment concentrates on events of production value/cost of greater than 100k (estimated at around 80 events). This will assist in limiting the inclusion of events which fall into the community festival remit which rests clearly with local authorities. The ratings produced by this the audit are not intended either as a guide for consumers or as a criticism of product providers. The objective is to assess the current events product, identifying those offering significant potential to develop and enable gaps in the current offering to be identified with regard to regional/seasonal opportunities.
