The purchase of an high performance liquid chromatography system. This will be used to separate particles in polysaccharide-protein conjugate vaccines for quality control purpose. The system needs to consists of analytical pumps, autosampler, column oven, UV detector, fluorescence detector, refractive index detector and fraction collector. The analytical pumps are used to move mobile phases and analyte through column for separation, they are required to move mobile phases in different flow rate and proportions under certain pressure. Autosampler is used to load desired amount of samples to column precisely. The column needs to be contained in column oven which gives thermo stabile environment for best separation. UV, fluorescence and RI detectors are used to detect different particles (absorb in UV, fluoresce, and don’t fluoresce/absorb in UV). The fraction collector is to collect desired separated particle(s).
