Floating Dock Repairs, Parry Sound, ON

Scope of Work
Work consists of removal and disposal of three existing floating docks, ramps and concrete head blocks. Three new floating docks, approximately 12 m x 3.6 m in size, along new aluminum gangways are to be fabricated and secured to two new concrete head blocks complete with new approach slabs. Existing anchor blocks and chains are to be retrieved and some salvaged for reuse. Two sections of existing potable water lines, approximately 87 m in total length, are to be removed and replaced with new, complete with blow off valves. Concrete, asphalt pavement and granular surface are to be restored.

Optional Site Visit
An Optional site visit will be held on August 23, 2017 at 10:00AM Bidders are strongly encouraged to attend the site visit. Interested contractors who wish to attend are required to give notice in writing with names of attendants. Please contact the Contracting Officer,Bob Hassell at (416)-590-8270 and email bob.hassell@pwgsc.gc.ca to confirm attendance. Interested bidders are to meet at Parry Sound Canadian Coast Guard Base, 28 Waubeek St, Parry Sound, Ontario, P2A 2W9. Notice must be provided to Bob Hassell in advance of Optional Site Visit.

Bidders will be requested to sign an attendance form. Bidders who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an alternative appointment but they will not be precluded from submitting a bid. Any clarifications or changes to the bid solicitation resulting from the site visit will be included as an amendment to the bid solicitation.

The duration of work is eight (8) weeks from date of award.

Bidders should provide, with their bid or promptly thereafter, a complete list of names of all individuals who are currently directors of the Bidder. If such a list has not been receivedby the time the evaluation of bids is completed, Canada will inform the Bidder of a time frame within which to providethe information. Failure to provide such a list within the required time frame will render the bid non-responsive. Bidders must always submit the list of directors before contract award. Canada may, at any time,request that a Bidder provide properly completed and Signed Consent Forms (Consent to a Criminal Record Verification form - PWGSC-TPSGC 229) for any or all individuals named inthe aforementionedlist within a specified delay. Failureto provide such Consent Forms within the delay will result in the bid being declared non-responsive.
