The Royal United Hospital, Bath is a 650 bed district general hospital serving a population of 500,000. It is based on a 53 acre site in the Combe Park area of Bath. The Estate is made up of 64 separate blocks that range in age from the 1700?s up to the present date.
The site currently has 29 Analogue addressable fire alarm panels (Gent) and approx 15 conventional fire alarm panels (all different makes). Many areas within the site have conventional devices connected to addressable interfaces. It is our intention to replace all of the conventional devices with addressable devices during the next few years. The fire alarm system within the RUH currently has a mix of old and new systems across the site. Some areas of the hospital wiring are in singles within conduits and it is our intention to replace as much as possible during the next few years.
The scope of the service contract is to cover all aspects of the fire alarm panels on site, addressable and non addressable. Due to the fact that a large part of the site is Gent Vigilon, only Gent agents will be considered for award of this contract. A separate schedule of rates table supplied below will be used for callout / small works rates
It is our intention to carryout the smoke / heat device testing by our in-house team.
