The Department is now seeking to secure new research which will demonstrate the likely economic and social policy impacts of the various options for developer contributions schemes that could be implemented here. It is crucial that the research meets the following requirements:
i. It should include structured and formal engagement with stakeholder groups.
ii. It should be sufficiently robust to gain the confidence of stakeholders.
iii. It should enable any future decision on policy implementation to be made on firm evidence-based foundations.
iv. It should be specifically tailored to the Northern Ireland housing market.
v. It should include up-to-date data that takes into account the recent significant changes to the economic environment.
The contract will be for 5 months.
