Raheen Business Park, located in the south western suburbs of Limerick City, is a 170 hectare industry and business zone which was originally developed in the 1970’s and 1980’s to support the development of a new major industry cluster in Limerick. Raheen Business Park is home to a number of major technology companies.
The IDA Raheen Business Park includes a c. 35 hectare land bank which is available for development by FDI clients. This greenfield land available for potential industrial development is located in the north western corner of the park.
IDA Ireland is seeking to appoint an Engineering Consultancy Team to deliver a surface water solution for the c.35 hectare site in Raheen Co Limerick to ensure the site is suitable for future development.
The successful candidate will be required to complete a review of the current surface water drainage system to establish the current catchment areas and resultant outflows to the Barnakyle River both directly and through the Loughmore Canal taking into account attenuation required.
Consultants will be expected to identify the existing drainage network, which facilitates the disposal of surface water from the undeveloped portion of the lands at Raheen Business Park to the Loughmore Canal. A new surface water outfall for the c.35 ha land bank, including adequate attenuation design, shall be developed in consideration of the surrounding environment.
This appointment seeks a consultant to complete all the works in relation to the delivery of the surface water solution for remaining available lands inclusive of, but not limited to, the provision of civil and structural, electrical and mechanical engineering, architectural and landscaping services as necessary to deliver a functioning surface water pumping station to the required regulatory standards.
