Construction of a Special Needs Unit Single-storey Extension, Site Alteration Works, and associated site works at the existing St. Joseph's Secondary School and Grounds. The works will also include for the connection of foul water treatment services from the adjoining convent buildings to the new foul water treatment system, construction of a new access road, car park upgrade works, set-down area, site entrance alterations, foul water treatment plant and filter, surface water infiltration trenching, firefighting storage facility, and all associated works. The existing school buildings are to remain live throughout the contract until substantial completion of the new school building and associated works has been certified.
The Gross Internal Floor Area of the new extension is 749m2 (excluding alterations to the existing building).
Minimum standards and qualification required:
As stated in DoES-QW2-Suitability-Assessment-Questionnaire-Open-2017. Tenderers are required to read the DoES-QW2-Suitability-Assessment-Questionnaire-Open-2017- carefully and to make sure that they meet the minimum standards stated therein. Tenderers who do not meet those requirements should not submit a tender as they will be excluded at award stage. All Tenderers are liable for their own costs of tendering. The Contract will be awarded on the basis of lowest Comparative Cost of Tender.
Average Turnover: € 2,127,500.00 (exc. V.A.T.).
Contract is intended to be awarded to a single main contractor. If a number of contractors apply as a group or joint venture and are successful, either a lead contractor must be nominated who will be responsible for providing the service or a Joint Venture must be formed or be in existence prior to the date of this contract notice, with whom the Awarding Authority will sign the contract.
