The Estates Office is responsible for the management of all buildings and facilities services contracts and will manage this contract on behalf of HSE Southern Cork and Kerry.
HSE Southern requires a competent and experienced mechanical maintenance company to carry out maintenance and upkeep of buildings plumbing and heating system on each Health Care facility
• GENERAL DESCRIPTION OF SERVICE:
The selected Contractor will provide a general Mechanical maintenance service for all Lots identified (Lot 1-6 inclusive). The service will include the maintenance and repair of all building systems, as directed by the Estates Office. It will be necessary to carry out works in conjunction with other contractors ( Electrical, Building Contractor etc. ), when appropriate, as part of the response maintenance/planned Maintenance programme and especially for minor works involving alterations to buildings.
HSE Southern will appoint a mechanical contractor to provide emergency call out provision, general small works and maintenance service projects for all lots indicated. The contractor will also be appointed as Project Supervisor for the Construction Stage according to the Safety, Health and Welfare (Construction) Regulations 2013 and any amendment or replacement (the Construction regulations). Generally the works carried out would involve the provision of appropriate personnel, materials, equipment and plant for maintenance works. Additionally the mechanical contractor would be required to carry out small works projects as they arise. Where possible works can be carried and during normal working hours however due to the response nature of the works and also the nature of Health Care business there may be a requirement for works to be carried out after normal business hours and at weekends.
Works are likely to include building maintenance of:
Boilers, flue returns, heating circuits etc and mechanical works in general
