Ground investigation work is to be undertaken along 13km of the M7 Motorway
adjacent to the motorway on both sides and along the proposed 3.4 km Sallins Bypa
Bypass and Osberstown Interchange.
The required works will involve the boring of cable percussion boreholes, drilling
of rotary core boreholes, excavation of trial pits, excavation of slit trenches, DPH
dynamic probing, in-situ testing, laboratory testing, and the production of a factual r
report. Some slit trenches and pavement cores will be required through the
existing road infrastructure. In addition, some trial pits are to be excavated in the
central median of the M7 Motorway. Along the rest of the scheme the proposed
road development will cross greenfield sites and the investigation points will be
largely carried out on relatively level to undulating agricultural land.
The role of PSCS shall be carried out by the appointed contractor.
