In 2015 D/PER and the National Archives agreed to a collaborative approach to
progressing a records management plan for the public service.
The records management plan is intended to develop public service-wide
guidance and to assess the need for issuing commensurate regulations. The plan
intends to develop as follows:
1. develop a model records management scheme which may be adopted and
developed by Departments and State Agencies.
2. progress the development of a compliance framework for digital business
3. The development of an associated digital repository for the long term
preservation of electronic records.
The primary outcomes are to see viable improvements in records management
across public bodies and the progression of compliance frameworks for digital
business systems. This RFT applies directly to 2. above.
